The evening began with an emotional ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by key figures from the hotel: Rene Reyes, Food and Beverage Manager; Jonha, Entertainment Manager; and Lic. Almícar, General Manager of GR Solaris Cancún. Each of them gave a few words to officially welcome this new space that honors Mexican heritage.

The first lucky guests, who had reserved in advance, were greeted by a festive atmosphere: live mariachi music, traditional attire, bright smiles, and a celebratory spirit that filled the air.

Don Gus is located on a cozy terrace overlooking the sea, the perfect setting for an unforgettable dinner. Open daily from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, it features a thoughtfully curated menu showcasing the best of Mexican cuisine—designed to please all palates. Best of all: there’s no extra cost, just make sure to book your reservation ahead of time.

Throughout the evening, the mariachis kept the joyful energy going, while Erick, the talented mixologist from Bar Premier, delighted everyone with special cocktails created just for the occasion. Later on, a live marimba performance added a sophisticated and magical touch to the night.
